Badminton shoes have been constantly evolving since badminton began. Most people who have played badminton for many years and from a very early age probably remember the first models that were very flat, even before shock absorption emerged, and these were very unhealthy for the body.
Shock absorption especially, and the construction of badminton shoes more generally, has developed rapidly over the past year and is something various manufacturers are working hard in to create the optimal conditions for us badminton players. But the heel cap has become somewhat more firm too, compared to the past.
