The young badminton talent, An Se-young, was born and raised in Gwangju, South Korea. She got her first badminton racket in first grade - and since then, it has taken off. Already in 2018, at the age of just 16, she was selected to be part of the Korean national team. That same year, she had the opportunity to participate in the Asian Games, Uber Cup, Indonesia International, and Irish Open, winning in Ireland and becoming the Runner-up in Indonesia. In 2019, she was named the 2019 Most Promising Player of the Year by the BWF.
