At the BWF World Championships 2023, the duo upgraded their previous bronze to a silver medal after losing the final in a close match against the rising Korean pair Kang Min-hyuk and Seo Seung-jae.
Additionally, Astrup and Rasmussen made history by becoming the fourth men's doubles pair ever to win BWF World Tour titles at four different levels – 1000, 750, 500, and 300. They secured their first Super 750 title at the French Open 2023, which also marked their fifth title in 2023.
